1. KEDARKANTHA SNOW TREK 8th -12th MAY

2015 (4N5D)

  1. The Tons valley lies in the Jaunsar Bawar region of Garhwal, a little known area, unique in culture and history. The whole valley is steeped in mystery and legends from the past. The Pandavas, and their rivals, the Kauravas, figure especially in the anthropology of the Tons valley, where the villagers actually claim to have descended from the two clans. Their social customs are very unlike the rest of conservative Garhwal. Polyandry, and to some extent, polygamy, are the normal practice. The Tons River begins from the snowfields below Bandarpunch and is infact made of two small rivers the Rupin and Supin which meet near the village of Netwar to form the Tons. The river continues to meet the Yamuna at Dak Pathar. The area is very rich in bio-diversity and has a unique culture of its own and the possibilities of adventure activities here make it a perfect holiday destination for the summers. The area offers a wide range of activities where both Kids and adults can be involved.

2. Deo Tibba Valley Trek 19th -25th MAY 2015

(6N7D)

  1. The Kullu valley is justifiably considered one of the most picturesque valleys in the West Himalaya. It is practically enclosed by snow capped mountain ranges that give way to alpine meadows and conifer forests. At lower elevations, orchards, cornfields and rice paddies merge with an assortment of villages that stretch along the course of Beas River.
Despite its proximity to Manali, Deotibba Base Camp is one of the less popular routes. This route has some eas y to moderate days and is full of panoramic views along thick forests and alpine plateau to the base of Deo Tibba. The sense of isolation and the spectacular views of Deo Tibba at the head of the valley make this a great option. Deo Tibba at 6001m is a popular peak in the eastern Pir Panjal Range and Hampta Pass (4270m) used to be the traditional route between Kullu and Lahaul valleys. This trek which starts from Jagatsukh near Manali traverses through pine forests and meadows to reach the base camp of Deo Tibba and then proceeds towards the Hampta Pass before descending to Chattru on the other side. This is a moderate trek that packs a lot into 8 days. Starting through thick deciduous forests it opens up into vast open spaces and lush green meadows with sparkling streams leading on to the snowfields at Hampta and finally culminating in the stark landscape of the Lahaul Valley.

  2. QUICK ITINERARY:
Day 00: Overnight bus from Delhi to Manali (1900m)
Day 01: Arrive Manali. Sightseeing and acclimatization walks

3. CHOPTA CHANDRASHILLA TREK & RAFTING

ON THE GANGES

  1. This trek is probably the best short trek in the Himalayas. Easily accessible from Delhi, it offers spectacular views of the snow capped mountains all throughout the trek. There is beautiful camping by the lake of Devariyatal where on a clear day one can see a perfect reflection of Mt Chaukhamba. The forest walk from the Devariyatallaketo Chopta is completely pristine and the climb up to the summit of Chandrashilla is short but challenging. One gets a complete 360 degree view of the mountains from the summit, with snow caps rising next to each other on the north and lesser mountains rolling one behind the other to the plains on the south.

Combined with a day of rafting this becomes a perfect treknraft holiday. River Ganga is famous for its big volume class III rapids which are fun on any day. The fall season offers great water levels & temperatures to enjoy river rafting activity.
